In response to this growing need, the Green Products and Services Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre launched GreenPro, India's Type -1 Ecolabelling Programme.
GreenPro, based on the 8 pillars set by the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN), is designed to empower manufacturers and service providers to validate, differentiate and showcase the sustainability performance of their products, technologies and services through a credible, transparent and performance-based certification framework.

The 9th Edition of the GreenPro Summit will be hosted on 30–31 July 2026 at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, Pune.
