India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. With this growth comes an inevitable increase in resource consumption and associated environmental impacts. Pursuing “Green” is the only sustainable path to balance economic progress with environmental stewardship.

Today, major product and equipment manufacturers have recognised the urgent need to embed sustainability into their operations and product offerings. Green products, equipment, technologies, and services will continue to play a crucial role in accelerating India’s sustainable development journey.

To enable this market transformation, the Green Products and Services Council of CII – Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre launched GreenPro – India’s Product EcoLabelling Programme. GreenPro empowers manufacturers to validate and showcase the sustainability of their products, technologies, and services through credible, performance-based ecolabelling.

Since its inception in 2015, GreenPro has become a trusted mark of sustainability leadership. To date, over 11,100 products have been ecolabelled, covering 450+ manufacturers across 39 product categories – spanning nearly 95% of typical building materials by cost, as well as key industrial and consumer segments. Today, 18 Public Works Departments (PWDs) across India endorse GreenPro Ecolabelled products, further driving green procurement in public infrastructure and construction.

About GreenPro Summit 2025

The GreenPro Summit is CII GreenPro’s flagship annual event and Asia’s largest platform dedicated to promoting ecolabelled products, sustainable procurement, and low-carbon materials & technologies.

The Summit brings together leading manufacturers, architects, developers, procurement heads, government stakeholders, policy-makers, and sustainability professionals to accelerate the adoption of verified green products and services in the built environment and industry.
